Restoring your garments with a fabric shaver

One of the newest products in our range, Pilo Icon combines powerful performance with a sculptural form. Featuring a large shaving surface for more efficient fabric care and an expanded lint container for uninterrupted use. It comes with two mesh covers, one with smaller openings to use with your finer and more delicate materials, and a larger-sized one to tackle bigger pills and heavier knits.  

Pilo Core is designed to be the foundation of your care routine. Designed for everyday use, it removes lint and pilling from clothes and home textiles to keep the things you wear and live with looking their best for longer. Its six precision razor blades and wide shaving area gently remove pilling from garments and home textiles alike, renewing their natural character and texture. 

With your garment placed on a flat surface, start with light pressure and gently move your fabric shaver in circular motions across the fabric. With Pilo Core, the universal mesh takes special care with delicate fibers such as cashmere, merino, and alpaca. For heavier pilled fabrics, you may wish to increase the pressure a little. If you choose Pilo Icon, you can switch between meshes to tend to different fabrics, using the finer holed-one for delicate fibers and the one with larger holes for heavier materials. 

If the motor slows down, it may mean the container is full. When it’s time to empty your Pilo, simply unscrew the top ring and tip the device upside down to remove any lint. It’s important to also clean the razor blades from time to time. To do so, carefully remove the perforated metal top and use the accompanying brush to clean the razors, removing any trapped lint. When finished, reassemble the parts securely and twist the lid so the two small dots connect. 

A fabric shaver can restore many of the textiles we live with every day, from wool and cotton to homeware such as cushions, armrests, and throws. It's important to consider the unique character of each fabric, as every fiber may respond differently.
