    Questions & Answers

    • What is the boiler made of?+-

Is the boiler made of RVS?

      Answer:
      Hi,
No, it's not. The boiler in the Stratus No.2 is made of solid brass. The quality of a brass boiler is much higher than for instance boilers made of aluminum.
      Best regards,
      Sophia

    • Can I use Stratus No.2 for cotton and linen bed sheets?+-

Is this product suitable for cotton and linen bed sheets?

      Answer:
      Hi,
It will definitely work, but for steaming home textiles I would recommend a hand steamer. When steaming with a hand steamer, you have much more range, so steaming large pieces of fabric will be easier.

    • How do I descale Cumulus No.3 / Stratus No.2+-

How often do I need to descale a Cumulus No.3 or Stratus No.2? And how do I do?

      Answer:
We recommend that you descale your steamer every 20th refill of the tank. You can either use a universal descaler, we offer this in our webshop, or white, distilled vinegar. It's also great for other appliances like the coffeemaker etc.
See this video for how to descale [39 sek].

      Or read this guide:
      For white distilled vinegar:

      1. Pull out the cord from the outlet and remove the tank.
      2. Add 2 cl distilled, white vinegar  in the hole under the tank..
      3. Pour 0.5 dl boiling hot water in the hole under the tank.
      4. Gently tip the steamer from side to side. This way the solution will cleanse and remove limescale from the boiler.
      5. Wait 5 – 10 minutes while the solution is working.
      6. Gently pour the solution into the zink.

      For descaler:
      1. Follow the recommendations from the manufacturer.
      2. Pull the cord from the outlet and remove the tank.
      3. Pour the solution (mixed according to instructions from the manufacturer) in the hole where you attach the water tank.
      4. Gently tip the steamer from side to side. This way the solution will cleanse and remove limescale from the boiler.
      5. Wait 5 – 10 minutes while the solution is working.
      6. Gently pour the solution into the zink.
